Miro provided structural engineering for a mixed-use residential building located in the heart of downtown Denver. The 28 story building, which includes 360 apartments, is comprised of cast-in-place, post tensioned concrete flat-plate construction. This structural system allows for a durable, cost-effective means to minimize the floor-to-floor heights and maximize the number of floors. The project consists of a mixed-use retail program on the first level, six levels of parking, an open-air podium and terrace on level 8 and a tower soaring above with 20 levels of high-end residential units. Other unique features on the terrace include an aesthetic steel canopy and an impressive 10 foot deep pool that boasts a story-high vertical underwater viewing window (acrylic/glass) of the street below.
