S. A. Miro, Inc. provided civil engineering for design/build delivery of a five-building research facility on 20 acres, to the General Services Administration. The buildings house various Federal tenants with working relationships at Colorado State University, the US Forest Forest Service and other locations in the State.
The civil engineering portion of the work involved site campus build out. Some of the unique design features that were incorporated in the design were based on the drainage outfall and water quality requirements for the City of Fort Collins. A constructed wetland pond was designed to meet water quality standards, as well as flood control for Spring Creek, which had flooded the main CSU campus in the 1990s.
