Miro provided typical site civil services for this 2.7-acre project (demolition, horizontal control, paving, signage/striping, grading, drainage, erosion control, storm, water, sanitary, foundation drainage, etc.), but was also relied upon for a significant amount of institutional knowledge. This knowledge base translates to involvement in decisions on telecommunications, steam, chilled water, electrical, landscaping, campus parking standards, loading dock requirements, future build-out, etc.
The relation of this project to future campus work, work in construction, and existing work, provided many design challenges. Miro was hired separately to perform a preliminary street profile of 17th Avenue, the main street for accessing the parking and loading dock area. We provided a flowline profile to meet the requirements of three adjacent projects and other future work so that the entry drive and building could be set at the correct elevation. Click here
