Miro was civil and structural engineer of record for a 1.2- million square foot inpatient and outpatient hospital, with associated clinic, pavilion and office space. The project also included two multi-level parking structures for over 1,900 cars.
The civil engineering scope for the 38-acre parcel included grading, drainage, utility, and surface parking for over 1,000 vehicles. The project generated over two miles of utility systems, triggering the East Campus portion of the Fitzsimons Infrastructure Master Plan. Systems included in the infrastructure are the streets, water distribution, sanitary sewer, storm drainage, steam, chilled water, telecommunications, electrical power, natural gas, lighting, and three state highway intersections. The Miro team coordinated with the design and development of adjacent and concurrent projects being performed by the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center and the Fitzsimons Redevelopment Authority.
