Miro has provided ongoing civil engineering services for a new 40-acre hospital campus in Parker. The scope of work has proceeded from master planning, overlot grading and drainage for the original hospital, plus subsequent site-specific projects for MOBs and an addition to the bed tower.
To accommodate drainage flows entering and exiting the site in conjunction with the master plan, two ponds sized between 4 ac-ft and 5.5 ac-ft were required for the site. Allowance for an emergency overflow of the 100-year storm from upstream was taken into account with the roadway on the south side of the site. A 12-inch water line encompasses the hospital and provides a redundant connection to the building. A sanitary service line was designed to connect the hospital to a main line in the nearby private roadway.
The infrastructure is established to handle an eventual doubling of the hospital and its support facilities.
