Mohammed bin Rashid Library

S. A. Miro is providing structural engineering design services for the new seven-story, one million square feet property which will house more than 4.5 million books and include several areas for interaction, events, activities, educational and cultural festivals. The library, designed in the shape of an open book on a rahle, the Arabic lectern, is being built at a cost of Dh1 Billion close to the Dubai Culture Village.

There will also be a museum of the Arab heritage and the history of human civilization as well as venues for arts and literary exhibitions, heritage preservation initiatives, and a 500-seat theater for lectures and seminars.  It is slated to be the biggest of its kind in the Arab World.
