S. A. Miro is providing structural engineering design services for the new seven-story, one million square feet property which will house more than 4.5 million books and include several areas for interaction, events, activities, educational and cultural festivals. The library
, designed in the shape of an open book on a rahle, the Arabic lectern, is being built at a cost of Dh1 Billion close to the Dubai Culture Village.
There will also be a museum of the Arab heritage and the history of human civilization as well as venues for arts and literary exhibitions, heritage preservation initiatives, and a 500-seat theater for lectures and seminars. It is slated to be the biggest of its kind in the Arab World.
