Structural engineering services for the 46,000 square foot building on the Colorado State University Campus. The building will be located at the corner of University Avenue and Isotope Drive in the middle of the student district of campus.
The building has four elevated floors and a partial basement to house mechanical systems. The super structure will be steel framed and designed to comply with the University’s high standards for vibrational response. Two building columns are transferred out at level two to allow for column free auditorium space on the ground level. The lateral load resisting system is cast in place concrete shear walls with the entire structure supported on a drilled pier foundation system.
The architectural and structural systems of the building were fully modeled in Revit ™.
