Adams State Auxiliary Facilities & Housing

Miro provided structural and civil engineering services for the Auxiliary Facilities which includes 65 residential suites in a four-level complex. On the third and fourth level Community Facilities, composite steel beams support the open floor plan of the Multi-Purpose Room as well as the stadium seating. Deep bedrock and soft overlying soils led the team to a mat foundation solution for the Residences and lateral cores, with spread footings under columns and bearing walls.

Roof cantilevers up to 27 feet provide cover to spectators, and add a distinctive architectural appeal. Early foundation and steel packages facilitated construction per an ambitious schedule. The entire project was modeled in Revit ™, facilitating coordination among the design team, and clarity for interpretation of construction documents.
