S. A. Miro provided structural engineering design for a 4-story residential building located in the Union Station neighborhood. The project consists of 107 for-rent residential units with a total project square footage of 97,000 SF. Construction consists of 3 levels of wood framing supported by a post-tensioned concrete podium at Level 2.

The affordable housing project is being hailed as a success story by all stakeholders and is being financed in a handful of ways. Public contributions are $2.3 million in financing from the city of Denver’s general fund, a $950,000 loan from the city’s affordable-housing preservation ordinance fund and $2.75 million from the Denver Housing Authority.
