Hyatt Colorado Convention Center

Miro provided structural engineering for the tallest building constructed (at the time) in Denver in 22 years, the Convention Center Hotel. This landmark facility includes thirty-seven and twenty-seven story bed towers, two levels of conference space and ballrooms, and a three level, below grade, parking garage totaling 1,180,000 sq. ft. One side of the building site contains the hotel guestroom tower and the other side is dominated by a five-story building containing the ballrooms, meeting rooms, restaurant and kitchen, loading dock and other back-of-house areas. The super-structure for the hotel tower is a cast-in-place concrete, post-tensioned, flat plate system with concrete shear walls.
